Team of the Season (TOTS) is the annual celebration of the best-performing players from each major football league. TOTS is also the most impactful market event of the FUT cycle. Pack supply increases massively as players open packs chasing TOTS cards, flooding the market with gold and low-tier special cards. This causes a market-wide crash that affects everything from budget gold cards to older promo items. Simultaneously, SBC demand for high-rated fodder skyrockets due to Guaranteed League TOTS SBCs.

This combination of crashing supply prices and spiking SBC demand creates the biggest profit opportunity of the year for prepared investors.

Pre-TOTS Preparation

Preparation should begin 3-4 weeks before TOTS drops. Here is your week-by-week plan:

4 Weeks Before: Sell Your Team

1 Week Before: Final Purchases

Complete your investment portfolio. Ensure you have a spread of 83s, 84s, 85s, 86s, and some 87-88s. Do not overcommit to a single rating. Final prices before TOTS are usually 5-15% above the annual low — this is acceptable since the profit margins during TOTS are enormous.

When to Sell Investments

Timing your sells during TOTS is critical for maximizing profit:

• Sell 84-85 fodder during Week 1-2: Demand peaks with Community and PL TOTS Guaranteed SBCs. Do not hold past Week 3 — supply increases and repeatable packs can crash fodder.
• Sell 86-88 fodder during PL and Ultimate TOTS weeks: These ratings are needed more in the expensive SBCs that come mid-to-late TOTS.
• Sell league-specific players during their league week: PL golds during PL TOTS, La Liga golds during La Liga TOTS, and so on.
• Sell within the first 2 hours of an SBC releasing: Prices peak in the initial rush. After 3-4 hours, undercutting from other investors drops prices 20-30%.

Pack Saving Strategy

Saving packs from March onwards significantly boosts your TOTS pulls:

• Store all tradeable packs from Division Rivals, Weekend League, and SBCs.
• Aim for at least 50 packs saved — quality matters more than quantity. Rare Players Packs and Ultimate Packs are the best.
• Open during Premier League TOTS weekend for the highest-value pulls with the best chemistry links.
