How Icon SBCs Work

Icon SBCs require you to submit multiple squads (segments) to earn an untradeable icon. Each segment has rating, chemistry, and sometimes special requirements (TOTW, specific nations/leagues).

Typical Structure

• Mid-tier icons (88-90): 5-8 segments, costing 200-500K total
• High-tier icons (91-93): 8-12 segments, costing 500K-1.5M

• Icon GKs: Yashin SBC is overpriced — regular gold GKs perform nearly as well. Save your coins for outfield icons.
• Low-pace icons: Pirlo, Scholes, Bergkamp — beautiful cards but the meta demands pace. They'll feel outdated quickly.
• Late-cycle attackers: If it's March and TOTS is coming, don't invest 1M+ in an attacker SBC — TOTS cards will be better and tradeable.
• Overpriced SBCs: If the SBC costs more than 80% of the market price, just buy the tradeable version — you can sell it later.

This mathematical approach costs significantly less than buying eleven same-rated players because the high anchors pull the average up efficiently.
