FUTMAS SBC Completion Strategy

FUTMAS SBCs follow a unique pattern where each player SBC drops on the calendar day matching their shirt number. This predictability is your biggest advantage because you can pre-buy fodder for expected SBCs before the masses react. Check which popular players wear numbers corresponding to upcoming dates and stock up on players from their nation and club 24 hours in advance. When the SBC drops and demand spikes, you already have the required cards in your club at pre-hype prices.

The daily FUTMAS SBCs are generally split into three tiers: budget options requiring 83-84 rated squads, mid-range needing 85-86, and premium requiring 87-88. Budget FUTMAS SBCs are almost always worth completing because the cost is low and the cards receive meaningful stat boosts that keep them relevant for months. The premium SBCs require careful evaluation because the coin investment is substantial and the untradeable nature means you are locked into that card permanently. Compare the FUTMAS version against tradeable alternatives at a similar price point before committing your fodder.

One strategy that works every FUTMAS is completing every daily SBC using only untradeable fodder saved from packs opened during the previous two weeks. Start hoarding your pack rewards from Division Rivals and Squad Battles a week before FUTMAS begins, storing duplicate untradeables in your club rather than quickselling them. By the time FUTMAS arrives, you should have enough 83-86 rated untradeables to complete three to four SBCs without spending a single coin from your transfer market balance. FUTMAS Market Crash and Recovery

The FUTMAS period triggers one of the three major market crashes in the FUT calendar alongside Black Friday and Team of the Year. Prices for meta gold cards drop 20-30% between December 15th and 25th as promotional packs flood the market with supply. This is the ideal buying window for upgrading your squad because prices rarely go lower until TOTY in mid-January. Target the specific players you have been wanting all cycle and buy them between December 22nd and 25th when the crash reaches its deepest point.

Fodder prices during FUTMAS move in the opposite direction from gold cards. High-rated 85-88 cards increase 15-25% as demand from daily SBCs outstrips the supply from promotional packs. If you have been sitting on high-rated untradeable cards that you do not use in your squad, FUTMAS is the best time to convert them into SBC completions rather than fodder value. Tradeable high-rated cards should be sold on December 23rd or 24th when SBC demand peaks and before the Christmas Day pack opening session crashes fodder prices back down.

After FUTMAS ends, the market enters a brief recovery period between December 28th and January 5th where gold card prices bounce back 10-15% from their crash lows. This recovery creates a short trading window where buying during the crash and selling during the recovery nets consistent profits. However, this recovery is temporary because TOTY announcements in early January trigger the next crash. Smart traders sell their crash purchases during the recovery window and then wait for TOTY to buy again at even lower prices, effectively profiting from two consecutive crashes with the same coin balance.
