Draft Mode Overview

FUT Draft is a knockout-style tournament where you build a squad from random player picks and compete to win four consecutive games. Entry costs 15,000 coins or 300 FIFA Points. The appeal is simple — you get to use the best cards in the game regardless of your coin balance, and winning four games rewards you with packs worth significantly more than the entry fee.

The draft process involves five rounds of picking. First, you choose a formation. Then you pick your captain from five options. After that, you fill each position from five random choices. Captain Round

Pick the rarest or highest-rated card available. Your captain is placed in the most attacking position for your chosen formation. Prioritize TOTY, Icons, or 95+ rated attackers. A strong captain sets the tone for your entire squad.

Position Rounds

In-Game Tactics

Draft matches require a different tactical approach than Rivals or Weekend League:

• Play to your squad’s strengths: If you drafted fast attackers, play on the counter. If you drafted technical midfielders, play possession. Adapt your style to the players you have, not the other way around.
• Use all 5 substitutes: You have no reason to save subs in Draft. Bring on fresh attackers at 60 minutes for maximum impact in the final third of the game.
