How to Set Up Co-Op

1. Go to the FUT main menu and invite your friend from the social tab
2. Once they join, select a game mode that supports co-op
3. The host's squad is used — make sure it's your best team
4. Assign player control areas (attacker/defender or left/right)
5. Start the match and communicate via voice chat

Player Control Split

• Option 1 — Attack/Defense: One player controls attackers, one controls defenders. Clearest split.
• Option 2 — Left/Right: Each player controls their side of the pitch. More equal involvement.
• Option 3 — Free Control: Both players switch to any player. Requires excellent communication.

Formation Tips

• 4-2-3-1: Clear defensive/attacking zones — easy to split control
• 4-3-3: One player takes CDM + CBs, other takes CAM + wingers + ST
• 3-5-2: Wide play from wing-backs — each player takes a side

Communication Tips

• Use voice chat: Essential for co-op success. Discord or party chat works best.
• Call your passes: "I'm sending it left" or "through ball coming"
• Coordinate pressing: Both pressing at once leaves gaps — designate one presser
• Set piece roles: Decide who takes corners, free kicks, and penalties before the match

Co-Op Rewards

• Division Rivals: Both players earn full Rivals points toward weekly rewards
• Squad Battles: Both earn Squad Battles points (based on host's performance)
• Objectives: Some objectives specifically require co-op wins — check the objectives tab
• No penalty: Co-op rewards are the same as solo — there's no downside to playing co-op
